Suspect in SoHo Hotel Murder Arrested in Arizona, Linked to String of Assaults
Raad Almansoori, suspected in the brutal killing of Denisse Oleas-Arancibia at a SoHo hotel in New York earlier this month, has been arrested in Arizona.
The 26-year-old is also charged in two stabbings, including one in Surprise and another in Phoenix. The victim in the Arizona stabbings was found at a McDonald’s, and Almansoori, after stealing a nearby car, was apprehended by Scottsdale Police.
While in custody, he admitted to the Phoenix stabbing and linked himself to multiple assaults, including the attack in Florida and the fatal SoHo hotel incident.
Several of the crimes involve women working as escorts. Almansoori, facing charges of attempted homicide, theft, and aggravated assault in Arizona, is also under scrutiny for unsolved crimes in Florida and Texas. The NYPD, collaborating with the FBI, seeks information from the public and law enforcement. Almansoori, who arrived in New York in late January, is now awaiting extradition from Maricopa County, Arizona.
